food :D
I was just looking through the pictures my dad took, and I don't remember if I've posted some of them before. Anyway, I came across pics of Japanese pudding I made with my mom a while ago. I also made swirly cookies just yesterday after my friend gave some that she made for me. :)

CRAAAZY day today
Today is a sad day for Cupertino-ians. :(
So I biked to school this morning like every other normal day for a Christian Club meeting. When I arrived, there were girls on the quad practicing their Homecoming dance, teachers and staff walking around -- everything was normal at first. Then our Christian Club leader, Irene, came and told us to go to Miller (the middle school near Lynbrook) to have the meeting instead. Everyone was like, "What? What's going on?" and Irene told us it wasn't safe here. At the front gates, there were people who talked to her; then she turned back around and told us to go back inside the school. I guess they told her to stay or something.
So we settled down; just then, a teacher walked by us and told us the story. At around 4am this morning, there was a man who went around and killed 2 people and injured 6. It's everywhere on the news, so everyone's probably heard it by now. But when I first found out, I was so shocked; I was like, :OOOOO. All the schools in the district (except ours) went on lock-down.
But school still continued, and everyone went to their classes like normal. Halfway through the first period, there was announcement made that we're going into Code Blue, which means all the classes lock their doors. I had PE so I still got to run around in the gym and do whatever. :) But it wasn't until 12 something until we got another announcement to head back into the locker rooms to change and go home. I got out pretty early, but it took a long time to get my brothers.
I've always thought Cupertino is a really safe place, but I guess I'm wrong about that.... But I think it's because it's usually so safe here that we take it for granted. I mean, this kind of stuff happens way more often in other places.
Then, at around late-afternoonish, my brother read from somewhere (news, Facebook, etc.) that Steve Jobs passed away. Even though I definitely don't know him personally, I felt sad. :( I mean, I guess we should always feel sad when someone passes away, but sometimes, when it's some famous dude that I don't know, I don't feel sad. I feel kind of mean now...
Anyway, today was kind of crazy and sad at the same time. But I'm going back to school tomorrow, so everything will be back to normal, hopefully! :)
