Hi, long time no talk! Right now, I'm at the cafeteria at the 2011 Hong Kong Book Fair. I just ate some super overpriced instant noodles and I'm sitting here with free Wifi! :D Two days ago, my aunt came to HK from Amsterdam, Holland to visit us! Yesterday, my uncle from Amsterdam came to join us too! It's so cool having so much of our family together; it's been so long since all of us met together! My cousins are in LA though, so we'll have to wait until they come back to take a family photo or something. :)))
I just came back from Yunnan around 4-5 days ago. I went to Shangri-La, Lijiang, Deqing, and some other small towns. Shangri-La is supposed to be really beautiful with picturesque scenery and everything, but I thought it wasn't that great. But Lijiang was sooo pretty; in the place where we were living, there were lots of stores selling traditional stuff and lots of cool souvenirs, street-side food, and other restaurants. There was a local water system (actually, they have that everywhere) where there's SUPER clean and fresh water running down a long ditch outside all the stores, so there are also mini bridges in front of every store. The floor is also made of traditional-looking bricks instead of concrete. It started raining really hard the last few days though, so it was really hard to go souvenir shopping...that's why I'm mostly getting souvenirs from Hong Kong again. :P
Anyway, I'll talk more about other stuff later! :)
