NEW YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's New Years!!!!!!!!! Whippeeeeeee! I tried my best to publish this post right at 12:00 A.M. but the time at my house might be off by a few minutes or so. : ( I actually typed this up before time, so when the time says it's 12:00, all I have to do is press the button, "PUBLISH POST." :D Good idea, huh? Anyways, I hope you guys will have a wonderful new years!

P.S. In Amsterdam/Holland, there are probably a bunch of people getting ready to light fireworks and to drink lots of champagne/usually apple cider for kids. I went to Amsterdam to visit my aunt and uncle a few years ago, so that's how I know this. My uncle is actually an architect, so their house is REEEAAALLLYYY COOOL! We bought a bunch of mini fireworks to light, but the huge one was the exciting part. The huge firework was like the size of a mini cannon!

Anyways, my uncle is an architect, the house is really cool, blah blah blah. Now here's the part where I'm trying to get to. There's a staircase that leads to a door on the ceiling which opens up to the rooftop of the house! And the house is HIGH UP. It's 3 TALL stories high. But anyways, we all crowded around the staircase and set up the "cannon." When 12:00 came, my uncle shot it into the sky with this rocket launcher thingy (Just kidding! Truthfully, I remember the cannon but can't remember how it was shot out.) When it was shot out, it seemed like the whole Amsterdam could see it! And this MIGHT be true because Amsterdam pretty small. Also, even before we shot or huge cannon, it seemed like war had just begun! No silly, not because people were killing each other and having fights below out on the streets! Because some people's clocks were probably off (or ours might have been off :P) and everyone started to light fireworks at different times. And the fireworks are LOUD and BRIGHT. It looked like people were firing cannons everywhere!

Anyways, that's my story about Amsterdam. If you want to go somewhere overseas sometime because you're just too bored during summer or winter break, Amsterdam is a good place to tour around. There's lots of good food (especially the Pancake House) there! Near my aunt and uncle's house, there's also the house (the Annex or Attic or something) where Anne/Ann Frank hid when Hitler was being mean (trying to kill Jew's/sending them off to concentration camps.) I think her body might be there too. My family and I was going to go inside (it's open to public as a museum) but there was a huge line and we didn't want to wait.

True story!

Great firework at midnight every New Year eve. in the city of Amsterdam! We had to wake Jane up to watch it on the roof top.

It was close up and magnificent!!!
